Intro II (Level II) is designed for dancers who will benefit from an additional semester of dance fundamentals.  This course continues to strengthen dancers’ understanding and execution of functional alignment, ballet fundamentals, and the 3 elements of dance: space, time and force (energy).  Students continue their exploration of the history and evolution of the world of dance, the immeasurable benefits of dance and movement in their own lives, and they deepen their understanding of their own bodies in relation to injury prevention, strengthening and flexibility, and self-care.
Intermediate Dance (Level III) is designed for dancers who have a solid understanding and are able to execute the basic fundamentals of ballet and modern dance.  Dancers continue their exploration of ballet fundamentals, functional alignment, the 3 elements of dance, and they set goals to strengthen their dance technique and deepen their artistic and critical thinking skills. Dancers also continue to process the concept of health in relationship to their bodies and minds.  Increased proficiency in strength, flexibility, and movement understanding are overall goals of this course.
**Instructor approval is required for enrollment in Intermediate Dance**
